Reviews:

Gallows view is a wonderful B&B with lots of feel at home comfort. The price was very reasonable and the Hostess was extreamly friendly and accommidating. She made us an early breakfast so we could catch out flight and was a deligh to talk to.

The Gallows View B&B was the perfect place for our first night in Ireland! It is a short drive from the Shannon airport but feels like you're out in the country! Mary, our hostess & innkeeper, welcomed us with tea and a basket of fresh breads. She recommended a lovely restaurant for dinner, JP Clarks. Our room was beautiful and our breakfast was marvelous. The inn is very close to Bunratty Castle, Durty Nellies Pub, and some great shops. A great way to start our trip.

Roncalli House
Carmel O'Halloran
24 Whitestrand Avenue> Salthill, Galway, County Galway

Carmel O’Halloran has successfully broken the code for success in the B&B industry in Ireland, providing a pleasant facility warmed by a sincere welcome, and situated it in a delightful city, adjacent to breath-taking sea views. This modern two-story B&B comes highly recommended by numerous other B&B owners and tourists. Right on Galway Bay you’ll enjoy the setting almost as much as the hospitality. Roncalli House is just a stone’s throw away from the Salthill promenade and wonderful views of Galway Bay. In 1997 Chelsea Clinton and her entourage stayed here for a few days.

Roncalli House is approved by the Irish Tourist Board and are members of B&B Ireland. You will get warm but not intrusive hospitality, personal service and delicious breakfasts. The room key and front door key are yours so you can come and go as you please. They have Private Parking. Roncalli House is open all year.

Galway, nestling in picturesque Galway Bay, is the capital of the West of Ireland. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on 2 sides, Connemara's mountains, rivers and lakes form a rich background of startling beauty.

Salthill is a seaside suburb; 10 minutes walk from the city centre. It is also close to Leisureland swimming complex and the Aquarium on the seafront, and convenient to golf, tennis and riding clubs. It is the ideal touring centre for the West, Connemara, the Burren and for day trips to the Aran Islands.

Roncallo House is a really wonderful B&B next to the sea and just 5 walk away from the city centre of Galway. We had a really really beautiful stay there and such a warm welcomming! We would strongly recommend this B&B.

Dawn Nelson
This was a lovely warm B&B beside the bay - even though I didnt have time to see it or walk on the path. It was an excellent location for walking into Galway City either day or night. It takes 10 minutes like it says in the guidebooks. The shower, the breakfasts, the WIFI, the hospitality were all excellent.

Alan and Shannon Barus
Absolutely Wonderful stay Great Hospitality, nice home, perfect location. If you are passing through town and have the opportunity to stay here, we highly recommend it. We have stayed here three times now and plan to continue staying here when we travel through Ireland again.

Clifden, Connemara, County Galway

A stay at Dan OHaras Farmhouse, located in the outskirts of Clifden, County Galway, offers Irish hospitality set amongst breathtaking scenery. The en-suite bedrooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable and there is sitting room for guests to relax in. Guests are invited to take a stroll around the farm and have complimentary access to the adjoining heritage centre where they can learn the history of Connemara and the farming traditions of the area. Home baking is a speciality here and from fresh scones to Poitin cake there will surely be something to tempt guests.

Nora and Martin offer you a Céad Míle Fáilte to Connemara. Martin's family have been farming in Connemara for 5 generations. In the 1990's Martin and Nora diversified into agri tourism to provide accommodation and developed a heritage centre. On our farm we have cattle, sheep, Connemara Ponies and donkeys. At the heritage centre we share the traditions, heritage and culture of the area at Dan O' Hara's 19th century farm.

Janet and Ron
In my four visits to Ireland I have never stayed at the same B&B twice, but I would (and plan to!) stay at Dan O'Hara's again! Nora and Paula helped me with my fledgling Irish language and by the time we left we felt like family! The B&B was awesome (as were the breakfasts and poteen cake!!!) but Nora and Paula are the reasons we will be back - next time with friends!

Terry and Renee
This was a great place to stay. Absolutely gorgeous area. The heritage center house and buildings were very interesting and well done. Everyone was so friendly and they even gave us extra heat. I'm from the southeastern US and for once wasn't weighed down with wool blankets. Never realized how heavy those things are. Their suggestions on things to do were excellent - as were the baked goods we took on our wanderings.

Trip Advisor, December
"A couple of friends and I stayed at Craig Country House in August and it is a truly luxurious and comfortable place. Tom and Mairead are terrific hosts and Mairead is a world-class cook. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The showers are roomy with great, strong pressure. The breakfasts are the best I've had in 40+ trips to Ireland, and the welcome could not be warmer..."

"Trip Advisor, December
"My wife and I traveled to Ireland and stayed two weeks traveling all over Ireland. We mostly stay in B&B's when we travel and this was by far the best and friendliest one we have ever stayed in, in traveling to over 15 countries and all 50 United States. The bedrooms and baths were very spacious and of course new. The hosts were very friendly. The breakfasts were superb. They were very knowledgeable of the sights around Galway and shared that knowledge with us. I'm sure anyone would enjoy a stay here..."
