Arrive at Shannon Airport. Take delivery of your Hertz car. Tour towards Limerick and stop at Bunratty Folk Park. Continue via Limerick, Ireland's third largest city, to the picturesque village of Adare with its thatch-roof cottages lining the main street. On to Killarney Town, set at the foot of the mountains and along the shores of the Lakes of Killarney. Enjoy a Jaunting Cart Ride through the Killarney National Park to Ross Castle or Muckross House. Stay in Killarney.
Day 2 - DINGLE PENINSULA
Tour the spectacular Dingle Peninsula. Visit Blasket Island Center, Gallorus Oratory, Dingle Town and return via Tralee, famous for the Rose of Tralee. Stay in Killarney this evening.
Day 3 - CLARE COAST
Cross the Shannon from County Kerry to County Clare. See the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. Tour along Galway Bay into Galway City. See Spanish Arch & Claddagh District. Stay in Galway this evening.
Day 4 - ARAN ISLANDS
Fly to Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands. Tour the island and visit Dun Angeus, a 2,500 year old stone fort. Tour Connemara. Stay in Galway this evening.
Day 5 - FAMINE MUSEUM
& SLIGO
Tour from Galway to County Roscommon. Visit the Famine Museum at Stroketown. Continue north for a visit to 12th century Boyle Abbey. Visit Carrowmore Megalithic cemetery before arriving in Sligo Town. Stay in Sligo Town this evening.
Day 6 - DONEGAL EXCURSION
Visit W.B. Yeats Grave at Drumcliffe. Stop at Ballyshannon to visit Donegal Parian China. Visit Donegal Town and the 15th century Donegal Castle. Shop for tweeds at Woolens & Things of Donegal. Stay in Sligo Town this evening.
Day 7 - KNOCK & COOLE
Tour south to Knock, where Our Lady appeared in 1879. On to Gort, where you visit Thoor Ballylee, the summer home of W. B. Yeats. Visit Coole, the former estate of Lady Augusta Gregory. Continue to Ennis or Bunratty. Enjoy a medieval banquet at a 15th century castle. Stay in Shannonside this evening.
Day 8 - DEPART FOR HOME
Drive to Shannon. Turn in Hertz car and check in for flight home.

The card cost is €16 for seniors and €21 for adults and is good for one year from date of issue and includes admission and guided tour to over 100 sites in Ireland. The Heritage Card will come in handy for visits to National Botanical Gardens, Dublin Castle & the State Apartments, Kilmainham Gaol, Ross Castle, Muckross House, Blasket Island Center, Gallorus Oratory, Dun Aengus, Boyle Abbey, Coole Park, Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery, Donegal Castle, plus many more!
